Gateway Center
Who We Are
Gateway Center (GWC), founded in 2005, is Atlanta's lead coordinating organization for homeless services - operating coordinated entry for the entire Atlanta Continuum of Care. Gateway provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, case management, mental health support, substance abuse counseling, job training, medical care through Mercy Care, veteran services (VA partnerships), and recuperative care. The Evolution Center is Gateway's low-barrier shelter, accepting individuals who have historically been turned away from other shelters. Gateway leads the data-driven approach to ending homelessness, operating the HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) for the Atlanta CoC.
