Atlanta Ballet
Who We Are
Founded in 1929 by Dorothy Alexander as the Dorothy Alexander Concert Group, Atlanta Ballet is the longest continuously performing ballet company in the United States and the official State Ballet of Georgia. Artistic Director Gennadi Nedvigin leads the company through a repertoire spanning beloved classics and inventive originals. The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education (CDE), founded 1996, serves community members of all ages at three metro Atlanta locations. The company helped launch the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 1946 by donating its season's proceeds to the Atlanta Youth Symphony.
