Who We Are
Founded in 1985 by Central Atlanta Progress, the Junior League of Atlanta, and the Atlanta Parks Commissioner, Trees Atlanta is metro Atlanta's leading urban forestry nonprofit. Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025, Trees Atlanta has planted over 100,000 trees across metro Atlanta and stewards the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum. Programs include community tree planting, invasive plant removal, conservation, and the Youth Tree Team workforce development program. In 2023, moved to its new Kendeda TreeHouse headquarters in southwest Atlanta. Trees are planted across all 9 metro counties, addressing environmental injustice, improving air quality, managing stormwater, and enhancing community health.
