Who We Are
Founded in 2004, Ahimsa House (from Sanskrit 'nonviolence') is Georgia's first and only nonprofit solely dedicated to helping human AND animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together. Since 2004, has assisted 2,200+ humans escaping violence with nearly 4,000 animals. All services are completely free to victims anywhere in Georgia for pets of any species. Services include emergency pet boarding, veterinary care, safety planning, legal advocacy, and a 24-hour crisis line. Accepts no pets without an associated DV case.
