Who We Are
Zoo Atlanta is an AZA-accredited zoological park founded in 1889, located in Grant Park. One of only four U.S. zoos currently housing giant pandas, and home to one of North America's largest gorilla populations (20 individuals in distinct social groups). Partners with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and participates in the AZA's Species Survival Program. Attracts approximately 1 million visitors per year. A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission of wildlife conservation and education.
